Managing Director Jason Court has been in the Construction Industry for over 30 years, during that time he has amassed a wealth of knowledge, experience and technical expertise which is often called on by clients and architects alike for advice, this led him to launch Fortis Construction in 2010.
After leaving school at 17, Jason went straight to work for his Father in the family Construction Business, dividing his time between Construction sites and Oaklands College in St Albans, studying Carpentry and Site Management. After achieving his qualifications, Jason began to take a more active role in his father’s business, eventually overseeing entire projects.
In 2010 his father retired, and Jason launched Fortis Construction Limited. This decision has been paying dividends ever since, with Fortis seeing steady growth and a high rate of positive response from customers and architects all built on a solid foundation of excellent completed projects.
Jason’s wife and Company Secretary, Julie takes care of the administrative side of Fortis, ensuring that Jason is always available to meet new and current clients. With his comprehensive knowledge of the business he can explain every element of a project, from bricks and beams to planning permission and troubleshoot any issues at once, keeping projects running smoothly, on time and within budget.
In 2018 their son Joe joined the family business, completed a highly successful Carpentry apprenticeship, became a director in 2021 and now works on site managing projects and liaising with clients and architects alike.
Away from the business, Jason is an avid sports fan and a retired Semi-Professional Footballer, these days he can be found at the Golf Club, plays for his Club’s Scratch Team and the County Seniors team, a highly competitive golfer with a Scratch handicap, he has reached the finals of the County and Club Championships on a number of occasions.
Jason’s primary focus remains being the driving force behind a premier construction company built on a tradition of excellence.
